OPEN LETTER TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

I’m tired of buying cheap goods. I want to pay more for the items I need. I want well-made stuff that will last more that a couple of uses, or one season, or just a few wash cycles. And don’t poison me, either.

I want a ‘new and improved’ global economy, too. One where everyone can afford the better goods, and know the people who make them work under humane conditions and are paid a living wage. Then nobody will have to poach endangered animals, plants, whole forests, and seas, and everyone will stop putting dangerous substances into the land, water and air.

I want the uber-wealthy power-addicted plutocrats of the world to just stop it!
I want suppressed green energy technology revealed, so our planet can be returned to health. To Big Oil, Big Coal, Big Pharma– all the “Bigs” – get over yourselves! You can’t eat your money, you can’t fill your lungs with fresh power.

Finally, I want altruism in world governments. I want the spin un-spun, gray areas unclouded, loopholes closed. Dictators, step down. Stop fixing elections and let the bad apples be voted out.

I want education, health, and freedom for all. And finally, I want the lives of all sentient beings to be valued.

That’s all I have to say to you. You know who you are. Now get to work.

Bobbie sent me on over to read your post, it's exactly what I needed today. Thanks, I'm so tired of broken un-fixable stuff I could scream.

Thank You!

I would most likely have rambled on trying to say what you just said.

Bobbie sent me over. I'll be coming back.

Another excellent essay and not just because I agree with each word.

Amen and hallelujah! That photo of an open pit copper mine is what I am fighting down here near Tucson. Augusta Resource Corporation wants to put one of those right in the middle of the Coronado National Forest with sensitive wildlife areas from all around. Augusta Resource Corp. is a canadian company from what I understand. Do you know about them? The mine is called The Rosemont Mine and there are links to info about it on my blog.

May THEY listen, and may all of us do our parts, small or large, to bring this to pass.
