THROUGH A WINDOW (OSI)

This is my very first (with more to come, I hope) post linked to One Single Impression

I took the photo last fall, when some migrating geese stopped near the breakwall. I knew if I open the door and stepped outside for a "better" picture, they would fly off, and they probably needed the rest. Then once I saw how it turned out, I liked the way the pale reflection of the shutters shows through, and I think I did get the best picture.

where do two worlds meet

close within, or long without-

heart does not divide

Welcome to OSI, Deb. I'm delighted with your new site here. I have been exploring this morning here in your world. Am adding it to my creative words...

This piece speaks to me greatly. The selection I offered for the prompt was one I'd written for Matthew for our anniversary. I could add this onto it as an addendum. Just beautiful.

Thank you so much, Christine, that really makes my day! Especially since your poems, photos and ruminations have been a real inspiration, something I always enjoy and look forward to.

This is such a beautiful poem. I love the photo and the story behind it. There is something lovely not just about the photo and the reflections but about the tenderness that wouldn't risk distressing the birds in order to get a "better" shot. Lovely post through and through.

Wonderful photo, even more so for knowing the thoughtfulness behind it. Love the haiku line "heart does not divide." Welcome to OSI!

Welcome to OSI. I enjoyed your response and really like the reflection of both inside and outside in the window.
