Symbols and tokens can never compare to the giver of those symbols and tokens. Such a beautiful poem. Thanks.

Sorry. That's the chorister academy blog--I'm doing some work for my daughter's choir right now!

How blessed you are to have such a gift!

Timeless treasures, but the most important is that of the heart and the friendship that links you between the material objects.

So lovely. And so true. The giver, not the gift is what matters.

A perfect sentiment. The material is always of a lesser nature to the emotional, human values.

what a beautiful sentiment
and photo
I like how casually arranged the objects are - as if they're in motion

It is perfect! and so beautiful and so true! Thanks, Deborah.

Many things in life are as you write, 'of value'. Most of these are replaceable. The gift that is not, does indeed 'surpass' all others.

What an eloquent statement. Lovely poem.

The rose isn't beautiful because the rose is beautiful. The rose is beautiful for the time you spent with it. Adapted from The Little Prince.

Dear Deborah--
This poem and picture touched my heart in a deep place.
Thank you for showing us your real treasure--the one that can't be impacted by the Dow!

..the ecg etc do not reveal what lies hidden inside a heart-a gift-the one that u have..many thanks..

Hi Deborah, I can read this two ways. First it came to mind that I (the reader) am the most valuable gift.
But then it could be that in giving I in my gift surpass all of the other donors?
I vote for the first cause I like it better. :-)
