WATERY WEDNESDAY - EARLY

The temperature has warmed a bit lately, and morning fog frequently envelops the homes and cottages in my little neighborhood along the Lake Erie north shore. Early yesterday morning, the temp dipped back down and briefly bearded everything with frost.

Love seeing that green in the second picture. It cetainly does look as if you are getting some melting.

Cool rime icing in that second shot! So tell me, what constitutes "warm" in your neighborhood this time of year? It's been freakishly warm here for the last several days... I won't tell you just how warm... it'd break your heart I'm sure.

@ Mojo - lol! Right now it's 5 degrees above freezing and raining steadily. But I don't that we're out of the woods, winter-wise, yet. Advising all northern snakes to stay put for awhile.

Seeing the frost around plants is really interesting to me. That's something I never see.

How nice to see even a sparse amount of green.
Is that one of those Oriental prayer flag things. It certainly looks well used by Buddha!

Yes, those are Tibetan prayer flags.

Cool! Reminds me of Mount Everest. (Not that I've been there, but I've seen documentaries.)

Love the hoarfrost on the leaves on the second shot!! And the prayer flags in the first. They have been there a while, obviously, and have become a part of their environment.
Thanks for sharing!

These are wondeful frost shots. Everything up your way that has to do with atmospheric moisture is BIG!

I love a good beardy frost, and all forms of freezy water, a delicate hoarfrost, frosticles, and I just discovered the word Verglas.
