MONDAY MORNING

These are what I'd call the featureless days of spring. The days are definitely warmer, usually in the high single digits Celsius, or around 40F, but the nights still dip down enough below freezing to keep the lake locked in ice, the grass is still brown, and the tulips are still tucked in their underground beds. So this is the perfect morning to post a few bright spots. One is a link to a new (to me) blog post sharing, over at Black-eyed Susan's blog, called Little Lovin' Mondays. Susan had invited me to link my post Saturday/14th on New Energy to her LLM group. Thanks, Susan, and I look forward to visiting the other links.

The other bright spot this morning is - a cool award from fellow blogger Sylvia at Sylvia From Over the Hill. Many of you will already know Sylvia's wonderful thoughtful blog. Nobody keeps us thinking and laughing like she does! Do stop by her blog if you don't already.

Now, awards are always meant to be received and passed along. I'm sure we all know the drill: post, link, notify, pass it on. The theme of this award is Gratitude and/or Attitude, and with that in mind, I am handing this one over to Raven and Dianne. Both these "blogger sisters" regularly post with wit, wisdom, and warmth. And the occasional verbal take-down, too! Wonderful stuff!

Well, there you go. I'm off to check the front yard again. Amazingly, tulip and crocus shoots come up every year in the middle of the lawn. They never actually bloom, and I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would plant them there so randomly. But they always let me know that there's hope for green! Hey, come to think of it - tomorrow's St. Paddy's Day! The day when everybody gets their green thang happenin'...lawn, are you listening?

Congrats Deb on your awards. Hope your weather doesn't get too cold again--and hope that spring is on the way. When we got home from Arkansas, we found some crocus blooms in our yard---just smiling and waiting for us to get home. AND--our grass is getting greener.. Spring is coming!!!!! Yeah!

Hugs,
Betsy

Deb - I am using this "featureless" day to wade through the backlog of comments and visits that I am mired in. I'm getting there - slowly but surely. This is what comes from going away for a bit.

Congrats on the award and I'll definitely check those links.

I think squirrels may have done the crocus planting in the middle of the lawn.

Congratulations on your lovely award.

Glad you liked my crocuses. But I couldn't follow your YouTube url. Maybe I didn't type it in right.

We had everything yesterday from snow ith the biggest snowflakes I've ever seen! Looked like the Snow God was pissed off with a message he'd gotten and was tearing it into big pieces and throwing them to earth! Then we had rain, wind and dark skies, then! sunshine! Then it started all over again and this went on all day! Oh, and it was and is cold! I am so ready for spring!

Well, I remember the song, so I'll sing it to myself and tell me it's from you. Thank you.

Yes - please speak to my lawn too! I am suffering from "green" deficiency! :)

I shall have to search for a little green today in honour of St. Patrick. Things are mostly brown and uninspiring. Maybe I will find a Mourning Cloak...you poetry and photo were lovely!

Thanks for the kind compliment. Sorry I'm so late stopping by. I hope those crocus surprise you and bloom this year. Ya never know. Maybe the lawn IS listening.
