Waking early on a May morning, you can sometimes catch the banner of dawn as it unfurls along the last bank of nighttime clouds, and the pink full moon, grown wan from shining so brightly while you slept, is about to slip away unnoticed as the first birds begin to stir.

beautiful photos, I was walking last night and watched the sun set amid clouds and it was breathtaking but no camera along alas!
Lovely photos this am, Miz Deborah! We had a spectacular sunrise here this am too--looking east at the mountains of central Oregon. Wowsers...made me want to be camping!
Poor tired moon...needs a day's rest!
Like your Robin Family Chronicle update, too...
Will be posting the passing on of the wonderful award you gave me tonight. Thank you again!
A truly beautiful dawn, Deborah. That moon, slipping away, is so special. I'm glad you noticed.
Very beautiful, Deborah! I wish it looked like that here this morning...but it's raining.
Beautiful Deb... Love the colors!!!! It looks so peaceful.. I guess it is--after all of the winds and rain you had!!!!! I'll bet you cleaned your back windows... ha
About your comment on my blog, YES--the 'wet-weather' waterfalls like we saw on Sunday definitely do not FLOW that much except after LOTS of rain.. Most of the teim they are almost dry or Dry.
Hugs,
Betsy
Beautiful description. The tired night sky... worn after a long night, and I love it when the sun just lights up portions of clouds. GORGEOUS!

That's a big moon. On Cape Cod I remember watching the moon rise up out of the Atlantic. That was a view to die for, I've seen the same in the swamps, but never over a Great Lake.
Great photos...beautiful sunrise...and beautiful description also...
