SKYWATCH FRIDAY – Last Colors of the Evening (Lake Erie)

The first photo is of my back patio. The setting sun tints the weathered wood a delicate pink, and gives the shadows of the willow bush the optical illusion of being green. For the second photo, I turned and captured the sun itself—the source of the beauty.

Exquisete shots, Deborah, as always! Such fragile, delicate colors take my breath away! Have a great weekend.

So pretty and I thought I saw a seal but on closer examination, I see it is an extension of the rocks on the water.

The reflection of the setting sun and the shadows created are so, so lovely. You have an artist's eye.

Beautiful Water Scenery, I always enjoy watching the sunset along Detroit River where we live only 5 minutes walk away, and Lake Erie is also on the same distance.

Beautiful- the sun- your porch-the light! Your world looks so different without all that snow.

Everytime I come here I wonder what it must be like to sit and listen to the gentle lapping of the waters from Lake Erie. That vast expanse of openess makes me think of the movie, Anne of Green Gables and how Anne would always say certain places had "scope for the imagination." You must get plently of "scope for the imagination" there. I would. These photos are lovley and serene.
