A friend recently sent me this, so it's making the rounds, perhaps you've seen it, too. I was amazed at the creativity and labor that went into this, painstakingly turning and fitting each piece of wood so it lies just right. I'm wondering if this tree was created to be left as a natural sculpture, to let nature do its work over time (Frost's "slow smokeless burning of decay") or if someone is taking it part again, log by log, for warmth and cheer on chilly nights. I don't know who created this, or who took the picture, to properly credit them, but I certainly thank them, and salute their ingenuity!

Yes, I did receive this mail forward. Good that you took time to appreciate them thus.
Such creative impulses simply fascinate me! Thanks for sharing this Deb; I had not seen it yet.
How startling. How amazing. I hope nature embraces it and that embrace is recorded over time.
That is so incredible! Not to mention creative! I agree with Annie, I too hope nature embraces it and that it is recorded over and over! Marvelous!
Thanks for sharing, Deborah!

Really cool! Even if they burn the wood.I pass a home on the way to the cottage and the owners have built a fence all around the house with split logs. I will have to remember to get a pic.
I hadn't seen this one, Deb... One never knows if this is real or something done with the help of the computer. IF it is real, it is very creative for sure.
Wonder if it's like Dominos. Once you pick up a piece, when will the whole thing fall????
Hugs,
Betsy
I have seen this before. (I was expecting an aftermath-of-the-storm photo). It's been brutal in S. Ontario lately, hasn't it?

nature is full of its own art that changes over time. very interesting manmade sclupture
That sure is a neat wood pile. I bet the person who did this has had plenty of experience! I wish I had tried to be creative all those years I had to stack the wood for dad.
Thanks, Deb!
You always show us beautiful reality through your eyes!

I have to send this to my neighbor who has spent the summer cutting and stacking. But being a true New Englander, he could probably never give up his perfectly squared stacks.
Amen to that! This is amazing!
Not seen it, but I love it!
indeed!
True artists are found in the most unlikely places and using the most unlikely materials.
this is the first time I've seen this
it's wonderful
I hope it's just left there
