It's been a quiet morning here on the north shore. Out back, a flotilla of Canada geese drifted by in uncustomary silence, as the rising sun dappled the lawn and the breakwall parapet. Inside, a small ray of sunlight bent itself through one of the crystal sun-catchers that hang in the front window, and left its mysterious geometry on the wall beside the goose bowl.

interesting light and subject matter for your photos.
Both fascinating and both delightful.
Those geese must be locals. I haven't heard any migrators overhead yet. Have you?
I love the shot of them just floating together there.
They're beautiful as always, Deborah! I love the geese! Haven't seen many up here yet. Hope you have a lovely day! Hard to believe it's the middle of the week already! Guess time really does fly when you're having fun, but I'm a little reluctant to see fall just yet.

Hi Deb, Love your goose bowl.. Wow--how beautiful. That's a great photo of the geese also... AND--that light swatch is so pretty... Isn't it interesting what light can create at different moments and times???? Beautiful!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Your observations of the morning light are so lovely.
Two neat sights. I know the geese are loud passing over, I will have to listen next time I see them in the water.
I think that little spot of light is beautiful. Once in a while I get one in my kitchen sink.
Love that bowl.
I love your posts. You make me feel like I'm there.
What a lovely title and post!
Glad you are enjoying the other end of this Hawaii rainbow....

I'm amazed how you elegantly use words to describe and interpret those pictures. Good stuff!
gorgeous captures!
The sun is noticeably lower in the sky now and comes in windows in a different way at this time of year. Such a pretty gift from a ray of light.
This is indeed a flotilla! I love light slanting across the land.
That's kind of magical, that prism on the wall.
This morning on the train, the sun caught the edge of my rimless glasses and made bits of light dance all over my newspaper.
So few words but they speak to me so much.
Wonderful pictures both. What a nice vignette of the goose bowl!
