No gray skies yesterday as another wave of migrating turkey vultures passed through. I grabbed the camera and tried (with less success than I'd envisioned) for a few shots as they swooped surprisingly low over my roof. As I was scanning the sky over the pollarded ash, a little face peeked down at me. I don't know if this little fellow was stretched out enjoying the sun, or if he was trying to make small as the vultures flew by.
Also, my friend Cath just sent me this link for identifying bird sounds. I haven't had a chance to explore it much yet, but it looks pretty interesting, and it's a great idea.

I would be trying to look small, too.
One of my friends has a tiny dog that she lets outdoors. The other day, she found it hurt in the yard. She thought a coyote had tried to grab it, but the vet said the damage on the dog's side was from an eagle.
In Jamaica they call him "John Crow."

LOL! I keep wondering when THE LAST DAY will be for me to see T vultures. You never know until it is passed and you see no more. It is a funny thing, isn't it!
