MONDAY MORNING

These are what I'd call the featureless days of spring. The days are definitely warmer, usually in the high single digits Celsius, or around 40F, but the nights still dip down enough below freezing to keep the lake locked in ice, the grass is still brown, and the tulips are still tucked in their underground beds. So this is the perfect morning to post a few bright spots. One is a link to a new (to me) blog post sharing, over at Black-eyed Susan's blog, called Little Lovin' Mondays. Susan had invited me to link my post Saturday/14th on New Energy to her LLM group. Thanks, Susan, and I look forward to visiting the other links.

The other bright spot this morning is - a cool award from fellow blogger Sylvia at Sylvia From Over the Hill. Many of you will already know Sylvia's wonderful thoughtful blog. Nobody keeps us thinking and laughing like she does! Do stop by her blog if you don't already.

Now, awards are always meant to be received and passed along. I'm sure we all know the drill: post, link, notify, pass it on. The theme of this award is Gratitude and/or Attitude, and with that in mind, I am handing this one over to Raven and Dianne. Both these "blogger sisters" regularly post with wit, wisdom, and warmth. And the occasional verbal take-down, too! Wonderful stuff!

Well, there you go. I'm off to check the front yard again. Amazingly, tulip and crocus shoots come up every year in the middle of the lawn. They never actually bloom, and I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would plant them there so randomly. But they always let me know that there's hope for green! Hey, come to think of it - tomorrow's St. Paddy's Day! The day when everybody gets their green thang happenin'...lawn, are you listening?
