POEM : TIME / WATER / ROCK

nature’s hand-game goes on
forever in both directions
of time and space
cascade tumbling
through the meadow on
its way to making a canyon

time / water / rock
and rock, it turns out
always loses

water covers rock
water cuts rock, and
surely if slowly, time and water
will wash rock (and
everything else) away

That's a really cool allusion. It wasn't until I saw the /// in the piece that I worked it out. I kept saying the words "hand-game" in my head and then finally the tumblers clicked. Brilliant!

Thanks! I fixed the stanza spacing, but can't get it to stop those automatic first-line indents...not poetry-friendly program I guess!
