SKYWATCH FRIDAY – “BAND OF LIGHT” (Lake Erie)

I was keeping my eye on this to see if anything tornado-like might come of it. Fortunately it didn’t, and the sun broke through the clouds off to the west.

The cloud did look ominous, I'm glad you didn't get bad weather from it. It's a great shot, I also love the way you captured the sparkles on the water.

There is that silver lining there in the middle of the shot. I am glad your fears didn't come true. :)

Do you know that Annie Lennox song "Into the West" from LOTR "and all will fade to silver glass, a light on the water, all souls pass into the West"

That's what I thought of when I saw this. Just beautiful.

I think there is a term for that band in the realm of meteorologists. I will go look for it. This is one cool photo Deb. Diamonds on the lake....

That sure is beautiful, Deborah. Nature is an artist of the highest order. I can't help believing she is delighted when we notice.

Wow! Love the cloud photo. It sure looked like it could have formed a tornado.
