This sunset inspired me to contemplate on our small stance in such a large place as Creation. For music to go with it I would choose the final movement of Camille Saint-Saens' Symphony No. 3 (Organ Symphony). In fact, what are you doing for the next five and a half minutes? Here's an excerpt from YouTube; be sure to turn your speakers way up! You can watch the clouds over the lake (or out your own window) and let yourself fly.
Thanks to contributor Elaine for her inspiring photo and words for this week. For more beautiful sky shots, visit the Skywatch site.
Oh this is so good! I love the tones and the colors of your sky!
I have two Sky Watch pictures this week, and you can view them in these blogs: Jenn Was Here and Shutter Happy Moments. Please drop by in any of the blogs if you have the time. Thanks a lot. Happy Weekends!
Very pretty and I like that you chose music to go with it. One of the things I like about the beach is that I sit and try to imagine where I am on a map and that I'm not even a grain of sand on that map. It really puts "me" in perspective.
The Cloud Messenger (Meghadūta) is a lyric poem by the respected Indian poet, Kālidāsa. The poem centers around a yaksa in exile. Longing for his beloved, waiting for him on a Himalayan mountain, he asks a cloud to take a message to her. The sights he tells the cloud it will see on its way make up most of the poem.
The idea of recording observations appeals to me. I thought The Cloud Messenger was the perfect title for a blog about the journey that we all make as we move through our days.
I'm a baby boomer who grew up dancing in the streets of Detroit during the classic Motown years, lived beside the Rocky Mountains for many years, now retired and living (and writing full time) in S. Gorgeous shot. The music certainly does suit both the photo and the question. Lovely.

Oh, that was perfect! Those clouds, that lake, the music. Deb, your blog is amazing. Always a source of inspiration. Thank you.
It sure is a cloud symphony over the lake. Most spectacular stuff.
I love sunsets. No single one is the same.
Your photograph is very inspiring and calming to me.
When I watch any peaceful sunset I hear the symphony From The New World by Antonín Dvořák (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYl4Xb4cDQ8)
Have a nice day:-)
The clouds look like they are reaching fingers! The music was wonderful. A great experience! Thank you! :)
Very nice!
