FROM MY WINDOW

Overnight, the bitter cold created some vintage frost designs on the windows in my small, unheated front porch. It reminded me of the 1950s patterned glass we had in the bathroom window when I was little.

Looking out my back window in the late afternoon, the sinking sun tinted the backyard drifts, if a bit incongruously, with colors of spring.

Hope all of you in the cold and snowy regions had a happy, sunny Ground Hog Day, and that spring is only 6 weeks away!

It's kinda ironic, Deb, that I'm posting a Tennessee snow tomorrow. It's a whopping ONE inch snow--and I will tell everyone just how pretty it is... BUT--when I see your photos of 'real' snow, it makes ours look like nothing at all!!!! Oh Well!!!! I just have no idea when it comes to the amount of snow you have... WOW!!!!

Take it easy--and please stay warm. Great pictures! Thanks!
Hugs,
Betsy

It is ground hog's day! I totally forgot. Thank you for these beautiful images of your day. They are really lovely. Man, do you have it or what? I know it does not FEEL lovely but there you go.

My mother's crystal glasses look a bit like that. It's very pretty, especially when you are inside looking out.

Our groundhog not only didn't see her shadow, she wouldn't even come out of her burrow to look. I think that means we'll 6 more months of cold weather!

Wonderfully chilling! I think we want the groundhog NOT to see his shadow (which would scare him back underground).

wow, what beautiful looking shots! really pretty. -- this is what I wish my yard looked like.

been snowing here all day, but since the past two days were record topping warm, the first inches didn't stick. what I would like is a good foot or two of snow that is around for a month, like in the old days.
