LISTENING (OSI)

THE HERON KNOWS ONE BIG THING

hush
be….. now, be
very quiet and
very…..
be…..and know

listen to the…..small
voice inside you

be….. my heart
and I will…..the waters
….. water runs
deep

will you…..be
here in the morning?

I …..love you

lovely
the way you have written this took me to a quiet place, pausing between words, listening to what you are saying... listening

Enjoyable read and photo...I have never seen a heron except in photos...this lake looks so peaceful that I can almost hear the silence of the calm water.

Lovely. Both words and photo.

In answer to your comment - I remember the Stevenson poems very well. That was one of my favorites too.

Sometimes the most important words are ones unspoken; the inferences are so clear when they are not... "there".

knowledge comes in the spaces between the words.

That is a beautiful, tender poem. I find myself holding my breath as I read it over and over. I didn't want to disturb the peace!

Herons are so utterly beautiful. Your poem is quiet, so quiet I can hear it clearly.

Don't they look like such good listeners, too? Lovely combo.
