SKYWATCH FRIDAY – Eye in the Sky (over Lake Erie)

We’ve been socked in with rain for days, and my stash of Skywatch photos is depleted, too, so I went out with my camera during a break in the rain (but not a break in the gray) and took this one of the only clouds available. When I got back inside and looked at it on my computer, I could see a pale mysterious eye looking back at me. I think it was worth a pair of squishy wet shoes.

Then late in the day the rain stopped, and the sky decided to make it up to us with a really glorious sunset that turned everything to crimson!

i see the eye--I could stare at the sky for hours on end--I limit myself though-- it is one of the best ways to meditate... staring at clouds and listening for their messages.

I does look like an eye in the sky!

Your sunset was a marvelous reward for your wait through all that rain.

You've got rain today? We've had nought but sun here. Hmm.

Oh look at that spectacular show at the end of a gray day. The sky made up for the blah day by this gorgeous sky at the end.

That sunset is simply breathtaking; I would have braved the wind and cold air for a little glimpse of that!

A nice contrast between both shots. Somehow I like the gentle first one best.

Debra, Thanks for stopping by. I leave Ontario next week to head home and I have to admit I will miss my daily walk in the beautiful sand dunes. All I can say is if you are ever down this way make a point of dropping by Sandbanks Provincial Park...it IS beautiful.

WHO-EEEEEE!! I feel like applauding here. Mother Nature did indeed serve up a mighty fine dessert.

I saw the eye immediately. Good work. You certainly lived up to your "Cloud Messenger" name with this photo.

That sunset should mean better days ahead! Though, I like that first cloud shot, too.

We had 25C and nothing but sunshine today - marvelous!

What a bonus sunset after a grey day. 'Socked in' - I've only ever heard this used by Canadians - it's very descriptive!
