SKYWATCH FRIDAY – Night Life (Lake Erie)

Lately we’ve had day after day of featureless, hazy skies, relieved by only a few pale thin clouds that don’t show up well in a photo. On the rare occasions we’ve had blue sky, the clouds have been nondescript—nothing that courts the camera. But every day’s end, as soon as the sun dips towards the horizon, colors burst forth, and the previously boring skies get their party on.

To view more skies from all around our beautiful planet, or to join in, visit SKYWATCH. Live links after 2:30 p.m. EST time or 19:30 GMT

Ah, and Buddha is enjoying that sunset! Always love to see him turn up in your very beautiful photos! The colors are breathtaking! And, yes, hooray for sunsets! I know I'd be lost without mine!

Have a great weekend, Deborah!

The daytime skies have been boring here too. Glad to see the evenings have been stunning though!

Like the silhouette of the Buddha!

Hi Deb, Beautiful photos. Glad your sky party is 'on' in the evenings these days. We've had rain all week---and no pretty skies at all. Yours are marvelous.

Hugs,
Betsy
P.S. That man standing on the shore never moves does he????? Har Har Har

OMG, Deb, these are beautiful. Hate to say it, but haze does sometimes add to a shot. You may need to write another book just to use that second shot for a cover.

That last picture is stunning!

Great photos created by the impurities in the air - beauty comes from something bad. Thanks.

You captured an iconic picture (the second one). The clouds are interesting in the first.
