DONA NOBIS PACEM

Now I've been happy lately, thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be, something good has begun
Oh I've been smiling lately, dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be, some day it's going to come

Cause out on the edge of darkness, there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country, come take me home again
Now I've been smiling lately, thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be, something good has begun

Oh peace train sounding louder
Glide on the peace train
Come on now peace train
Yes, peace train holy roller
Everyone jump upon the peace train
Come on now peace train

Get your bags together, go bring your good friends too
Cause it's getting nearer, it soon will be with you
Now come and join the living, it's not so far from you
And it's getting nearer, soon it will all be true

Oh peace train sounding louder
Glide on the peace train
Come on now peace train

Now I've been crying lately, thinking about the world as it is
Why must we go on hating, why can't we live in bliss
Cause out on the edge of darkness, there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country, come take me home again

Oh peace train sounding louder
Glide on the peace train
Come on now peace train
Yes, peace train holy roller
Everyone jump upon the peace train
Come on peace train
Yes, it's the peace train

Peace is a wonderful goal but difficult in a world of opposition where there will always be bullies trying to overpower the weak. It's a delicate balance to know when to defend them such as in African nations right now. It was only when we were attacked in Hawaii that we finally joined the war in Europe and the South Pacific and defeated some powerful bullies. Real and lasting peace will probably not come in our lifetime the scriptures predict, but when the prince of peace returns one day.

Deb, you included one of the songs I used to listen to a lot in HS. Beautiful globe you have. Peace, friend. Thanks to you and Raven for getting me off my duff and joining in the celebration.

Beautiful lyrics, hopeful thoughts, I was a train rider in my younger days before defining my life with responsibilities and duties and chores and obligations and encountered a few derailments... now I am ready to ride the trains once more and may we listen and heed the whistle as it comes our way and be waiting at the station to climb aboard.

I took some beautiful skywatch smoggy sunsets tonight in Montreal but shall wait until I return home next week for posting them.
